Hapag-Lloyd increases rates from Indian Sub & Middle East to USEC

Effective April 1, 2025, Hapag-Lloyd will implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) on shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to the United States East Coast.

New Freight Rates & Affected Cargo

The updated rates apply to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ dry containers, refrigerated (reefer) containers, and special equipment, including high cube units.

  • GRI Amount: $500 per container
  • Effective Date: April 1, 2025 (until further notice)

This rate adjustment affects shipments from the following countries:
